2008 is on track to be a record year for deadly tornadoes. This is what you can expect if one hits.
IF the home is still standing, debris can penetrate walls. Most injuries and deaths are attributed to flying debris.
Don't build a new home or install a below ground shelter until you talk with H & H about the benefits of these shelters. These are useful secure storage rooms, and can be made into a closet, office, or bath in new construction. They have many uses, but the most important one is to protect your family.
They were tested by Texas Tech University to withstand F-5 tornadoes and to meet or exceed FEMA 320 guidelines.

Steel safe room
The above shelter can be installed in a garage, or we can put it anywhere on an existing slab. We can also pour a small slab for outside installation, or for a mobile home.
Below is the patented and tested Stormblocker shelter. It works great with new construction or, again, in a garage or exterior slab. These are not wasted space. They can be wired, plumbed, or used for secure storage of valuables, guns, etc. They can also be used as panic rooms in case of home intrusion.
